Special Banana Nut Bread

3/4 cup butter, softened
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup mashed ripe bananas (approx 4)
1/2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups chopped pecans

1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
2) Cream butter, cream cheese & Sugar until light & fluffy
3) Add eggs (beat well), and bananas and vanilla- mix well
4) Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt in a separate bowl, then add to creamed mixture.
5) Fold in 1/2 of pecans (optional)
6) Transfer batter to two greased loaf pans, sprinkle with remaining pecans and bake for an hour.
