Russian Tea Cakes





1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
Additional powered sugar

1) In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla.
2) Combine dry ingredients and nuts in a separate bowl, gradually add to the creamed mix.
3) Chill for 1-2 hours
4) Roll into 1 inch balls
5) Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
6) Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes
7) Cool on wire racks, roll in additional powdered sugar
