Mincemeat Cookies

3 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup shoft shortening
1/2 cup soft oleo or butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup mincemeat
1 cup raisings
1 cup chopped nuts


1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2) Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon together and set aside
3) Combine shortening, butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl. Cream on medium speed, increase to high for 3 minutes, stop mixer and add mincemeat.
4) Add flour, mix gradually beating on low until blended. Add in raisins and nuts
5) Bake 12 minutes on a greased cookie sheet
