3/4 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups oats
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1) Preheat 350 12-15 minutes
2) Beat together shortening, sugar and egg, water and vanilla until creamy
3) Add combined remaining ingredients
4) Mix well, drop teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet
